Undergraduate Programs
In 2006, Rice began offering student-taught courses (STCs) through the residential colleges in order to provide undergraduates with a chance to teach fellow students about subjects in which they consider themselves to be an expert. The CTE teaches an undergraduates pedagogy course (COLL 300) that is required for all STC instructors and also oversees all of the STCs offered in a given semester. Rice Student Educator Network
The CTE collaborates with the Office of Academic Support for Undergraduate Students (OASUS) and the Center for Academic and Professional Communication (CAPC) to support the Rice Student Educator Network, a community of practice for graduate and undergraduate students serving in educational roles at Rice.
