Please join Rice’s Center for Teaching Excellence for our fall Pedagogy Institute for Graduate Students and Postdocs on Tuesday, October 15th, from 1:00PM-4:00PM.
Engaged and Engaging Pedagogy
This 3-hour workshop will cover the principles of effective college teaching, with an emphasis on student engagement. Participants will learn how to design learning goals, implement these goals in an engaging and inclusive class, and assess students' progress towards these goals. This workshop is recommended for all graduate students and postdocs interested in practicing evidence-based strategies to improve their teaching at any level in preparation for academic positions.
