TEACH Workshop: "Checking your Work: Designing Activities and Assignments that Assess Student Progress"

Following our successful workshop on learning outcomes, this session (led by CTE Assistant Director Betsy Barre) will help attendees think about the best ways to assess whether students have progressed on those outcomes. If you’ve ever wondered how instructors make decisions about the structure of activities, assignments, and/or exams, or you’ve found yourself in a situation where you’ve been tasked with designing these assessments, then this is a session for you!

Open to all disciplines; no RSVP required.

The TEACH workshop series contains 2 different tracks: (1) pedagogy and (2) the academic job market. These tracks build upon the most popular TEACH topics, providing solid foundations in each of the subject matters. Attendance at six TEACH sessions (regardless of track) during students’ academic career at Rice will qualify them for a letter of recognition for their participation.
